I had to go to Urgent Care today. My throat and my ears were hurting, so Mommy and Daddy wanted to get them checked out, especially my ears because the last time I had an ear infection Mommy didn't know for over a week and the doctor made her feel bad for not knowing. My throat was red and my ears have fluid in them, so the doctor went ahead and gave me a prescription for antibiotics. He said I should be feeling better soon. He also thought my cast looked really neat.

Tonight I got to go to Playhouse Disney Live! I wasn't sure I was going to be able to go, and Mommy said she probably shouldn't have taken me because I stayed home from school today with a bad cold and a low fever. I guess I had too much fun at the Pumpkin festival last night. Anyway, I slept for most of the day and I felt a lot better, so Mommy said we could still go. I'm so glad we did. Our seats were really good. We were on the floor, in the 8th row, in the middle. I could see everything! All my favorite Playhouse Disney characters were there.
Mickey Mouse
Playhouse Disney LIVE!
The Little Einsteins, and even Rocket

Darby, Tigger and Pooh

and Handy Manny, the Tools and even Mr. Lopart

Everyone was invited to Mickey's music party and they were all looking for different kinds of music to bring. Darby, Tigger and Pooh made music from the sounds of nature. The Little Einsteins brought music from around the world. Mickey and his pals practice the Hot Dog Dance with all of us in the audience.

We all sang and danced and had a good time.

At the end of the show, down came all kinds of streamers and they landed all over us. I saved a whole bunch and brought them home with me!

Tonight after choir, Mommy and Daddy took me downtown to the Pumpkin Festival. There were a LOT of people there. I wore my queen costume, but even though I had a few layers on underneath, I was still cold and had to wear my coat.

We went trick-or-treating from store to store. Some of the stores' employees dressed up, too.
Pumpkin Festival
We ran into one of my friends. Her name is Allison, too, but she's younger than me so I'm Big Alison and she's Little Allison. Little Allison was dressed up as Barbie Mariposa

There were so many people that it took forever to make it down one side of Main Street. When we got to the end, we caught the end of a belly dance performance. That was neat.
Pumpkin Festival
We stuck with it and kept working our way back down the other side of Main Street.

I ran into my friends Brendon and Andrew. They were dressed up as ghosts

After that, I ran into my friend Lance.

I can't believe how many friends we saw tonight. It was getting pretty late by the time we got back to where we started from and we were all getting cold, so we didn't even try to do any of the other activities like the slowest bike race or pumpkin rolling. I had a great time tonight, but I'm glad I'm home and ready for bed!

We were back at Grandma's Pumpkin Patch again this afternoon. Here I am with my friend, Logan.

I still didn't get to play on the inflatables, but I did get a chance to go on the barrel train. That was fun.

We went over and watched some of our friends chuck apples out into the cow pasture. That was fun.

My friend, Andrew, slipped and fell just as he was launching one of his apples.

After everyone was done chucking apples we headed over and went through the maze again. I led everyone through without very many mistakes again. After that, some of the families started heading for home. Before we left, though, I finally got to go for a pony ride. I love pony rides!

It sure was a lot of fun to get to come to the pumpkin patch twice, but I am pooped!!

I went to Grandma's Pumpkin Patch tonight. It was another UMYF event that Mommy and Daddy had to help out with, so I got to tag along again. There is all kind of stuff to do here. There are lots of animals to see. This peacock was really cool.

We watched the cows eating pumpkins. It was kind of neat. They eat the whole thing, but not just in big bites. They eat the seeds and the gooey stuff first and then they eat the outside. There was one big cow who would bump and push away any other cow that tried to come near its pumpkin.
It was fun to watch.

Besides looking at the animals, they have a bunch of inflatables that you can jump around in. I can't do that this year because of my cast. Bummer. :( There is a barrel train to ride, but I'm waiting to do that until tomorrow, when we come back with Mommy and Daddy's other church group. Same thing with the pony ride. They also have a corn maze that you can go through. I went in it with Mommy and she let me figure out which way to go. She was really surprised that I got us out without getting too lost. There were only a couple of times that we ended up going in a circle.

I was starting to get dark by the time we got out of the maze, so we went over and got a donut and some cider and sat by the fire. Then we went and watched the animals some more. It wasn't long before it got to dark to do that. So I took my flashlight and ran around holding it by my butt and told everyone I was a firefly. :)

Can't wait to come back tomorrow!

I had Mother Goose again today. We started out with rhymes about two little dickie birds.
Two Little Dickie Birds
After that we moved on to this week's play. I had two parts this week. First I was the sweeper. Here I am letting the pig out of Fox's bag.

At the end of the play, I was the Dog. First I hid in Fox's bag. And when she opened the bag to see what was inside, I jumped out and chased her around.

I love being in this class!

Look at what we did to my cast today!

Someone, who has had more experience dealing with cast than we have, suggested that get some plastic jewels and decorate my cast. So we did. I picked out the jewels and showed Mommy where I wanted them and she used a hot glue gun and stuck them on for me. It was a lot of fun.

I was right. I got the hang of this cast thing. By the time Mommy came to pick me up after school today I had even figured out how to run!

Remember when I wrote about spraining my ankle a couple of weeks ago? Well at my doctor's appointment today I found out that the problem wasn't really a sprained ankle. The problem was that my leg was broken. The doctor called it a hairline fracture. After I had some new x-rays taken, he brought them in and showed Mommy and Daddy where it was already healing. But, even though it's healing, he still wanted to put me in a walking cast for a couple of weeks. I got to pick out the color, and at first I chose red. Then Mommy reminded me that my Halloween costume is purple, so I changed my mind and picked purple instead. Dr. Craig put this funny sock thing on my foot and some padding and then he soaked the purple stuff in some warm water and started wrapping it around my foot and my leg, all the way up to just below my knee. After the cast got hard, he cut out around my toes. Mommy was a little worried that I wouldn't be able to get my pants back on over my cast, but it turned out to not be a problem. They even gave me a neat little shoe to wear, so that I can walk without messing up my cast. Now we just have to figure out how to cover up my toes to keep them warm, dry and clean since my cast is too big for my knee socks and my knee socks are too long to just cover up my toes. It feels kind of funny to walk around in this cast, but I'm sure I'll get the hang of it.

Today our play at Mother Goose was The Oak and the Reeds. I worked on all the different parts this week and today I got chosen to be the Mighty Oak. I stood tall and proudly as the wind blew through reeds.

I started to bend a little as the wind started howling through the reeds

Finally, the wind roared through the reeds and I was bending and cracking and falling.

It's been a busy weekend for me. Yesterday I had Mother Goose and today I walked in our local CROP Walk. Mommy and Daddy are UMYF counselors, so I get dragged along to these things. It was actually not too bad. I had to wait around for a while before we actually started the walk
Pre-CROP Walk
The CROP Walk was 6 miles long and we started out by walking through Dow Gardens and down the Rail Trail for a while. Then we stopped and got a drink. After that, we headed down to Emerson Park. I was still walking then, but I was starting to get kind of tired.
CROP Walk
Once we got through Emerson Park, I was pretty tired, so Mommy and Daddy let me ride in my wagon. I made it just about 3 miles. That's pretty good, I think. Mommy had been pulling the empty wagon....Daddy had to pull it when I got in. :)
CROP Walk
We started walking at 2:00 and got back to the Center for the Arts at just after 4:00. After all that walking (and riding) this pizza sure tastes good!

Today I started another acting class. It's called Mother Goose Act II. It's a little bit different than what I did this summer, but it's still a lot of fun.

There are 8 of us in the class. A couple of the girls were in the summer class with me. A friend of mine from preschool is in the class, too. We go to different schools now, and I haven't really seen her very much since preschool, so I was very excited to see her today.

The biggest difference between this class and the summer class is that instead of working on one big play to perform at the last class, each week we learn a new small play that we perform for our parents at the end of class that day. This week, we worked on The Ants and the Grasshoppers. It's not a long play, so we went through it twice and we all got to be Ants
Ants and Grasshoppers
and Grasshoppers.

I had a lot of fun today. I almost didn't take this class. When Mommy asked me if I wanted to do it, I told her I was retired. But I changed my mind and I'm glad I did.
